On the furthest south point of Bali is the temple Uluwatu (Pura Luhur Uluwatu). In Bali it is considered one of the six most important temples. To me this is probably the most spectacular temple in Bali, because it is perched on a rocky cliff with breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean from all angles.
The drop to the ocean is over 260 feet. There are railings along the path, but they do not hold back photographers and small children.
On the west side you can see the world famous surf breaks.
This is one of the many places I try to see every time I visit Bali. If you’re really lucky there will be a temple celebration during your visit.
